NICOLE ROBB is an imaginative mover, choreographer and teacher who recently received her BFA in Dance from York University in the choreography and performance stream. Nicole has worked with many influential artists including Lindsay Wilson, Joshua Beamish, Christina Woodard, Ferd Tocol, Katie Bois, Julia Sasso, Tracey Norman and Susan Lee, who have all shaped the way she moves and thinks. She has trained in many styles such as ballet/pointe, jazz, tap, contemporary/modern, acrobatics, hip-hop and a few different styles of Latin dance. She has had the opportunity to perform in Mikolajki, Poland with Team Canada in 2013 during the IDO World Championships. After gaining a scholarship to attend the Paris Dance Tour in 2014, she grew interested in performing globally. Fascinated by collaborative process, she created a work in early 2017 entitled Face Everything and Risefor Bloom, a choreographic showcase at Dancemakers Centre for Creation. The work was a success and she was asked to co-choreograph with a colleague on a piece for Bloom 2018 entitled Blur Of Traffic. She has been involved as a dancer and choreographer for York Dances and Dance Innovations since 2015. She was a member of the York Dance Ensemble for two consecutive years under the direction of Susan Lee. Nicole is excited to share the love she has for dance with the Canadian industry. |
